About Ukraine

Ukraine is a republic in Eastern Europe. It borders Russia to the north and east, Belarus to the north, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary to the west, Romania and Moldova to the southwest and the Black Sea to the south. In the early 1900's there was a brief period of Ukrainian independence following the Russian Revolution, but that independence was ended by Ukraine's absorption into the Soviet Union, and the republic's present borders were only established in 1954. It became independent once more following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991.

Vida Nueva in Ukraine

Members of various Vida Nueva communities in the United States will be travelling to Ukraine around July 10, 2006 to help launch a Vida Nueva community in the capital city of Kyiv. If you are interested in joining the American team, please contact us at ukraine@ctvn.info
