How to Raise Funds

Once you decide to join the Vida Nueva Ukraine team, you will need to begin your fundraising. Remember, you will need $2,500 for both your plane ticket and your team fee. If you have any questions about the costs, please visit our Costs page for more information.

Letters

The first place you can start is by sending a letter to your family and friends requesting a donation to support your trip. To view a sample letter, please click here. The holidays are an excellent time of year to request funds because you may ask for donations rather than Christmas gifts.

Be sure and keep track of who donates to your trip, and make sure that you send Thank You notes!

Yard Sales

Another way to raise funds is by having a yard sale. Gather up some items you no longer use and have a weekend yard sale. This is also a good way to clean out your house!

Mission Funds

Speak to a representative of your church to see if there are funds available for mission trips.

Get the word out!

Above all, let people know that you will be taking a trip to Ukraine to serve other Christians in that country and you are responsible for raising your own funds. You will be surprise at how many people will be willing to help you!
